API Equality-LA strives to create a society that celebrates the loves and lives of all people – free from discrimination and injustice. To succeed, we need people like you to step up and volunteer with us – to join the movement and advance equality.
There are many ways you can help:
As a mainly volunteer-run organization, volunteers are the foundation and heart of API Equality-LA. We have many volunteers opportunities, from fundraising to doing one-on-one outreach to blogging, and are always looking for more help! Click here for more information.
API Equality-LA’s internship program serves to introduce individuals who are passionate about API & LGBT rights to community organizing. The program will provide students with the foundations of organizing in the API and LGBT community, including but not limited to readings and research on API attitudes toward sexuality, the treatment of race within the LGBT community, and the socio-historical intersections of racial, sexual, and gender identities and persecution. Interns are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year. Click here for more information.
Help support and continue API Equality-LA’s work with a donation! Your tax-deductible donation will go towards educating Asians and Pacific Islanders about the issue of marriage equality and the LGBT community. API Equality-LA is a fiscal project of the Asian Pacific American Legal Center (APALC), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Click here for more information.
