Asian American Gays & Lesbians Plan To Marry Starting June 17th

Couples Willing To Share Their Personal Stories

WHAT? On June 17, 2008, counties can start granting marriage licenses to same-sex couples. Asian American gays and lesbians in long-term relationships are among the many excited Californians who will be standing in line starting on June 17th. A number of them are willing to share their personal story with the media, and many will be getting their marriage license next week.

WHO? There are both gay and lesbian couples who include Chinese, Korean, Japanese and Filipino Americans. A few are able to speak their native language. The couples are based in the Los Angeles-area.

WHEN? Couples are willing to do interviews before and after June 17th.
