Thai New Year Songkran Festival

THAI NEW YEAR SONGKRAN FESTIVAL

WE NEED YOUR HELP! API Equality-LA will be doing outreach at the Thai New Year Songkran Festival in Thai Town on the issue of marriage equality on Sunday, April 4th. The Thai New Year Songkran Festival, voted as one of the top 10 festivals in SoCal, takes place in the heart of Thai Town in East Hollywood and is the largest Thai festival in the United States. Stretching several blocks, the festival includes a 5K run/walk, Buddhist Ceremonies and water blessing, the LA Curry Festival Competition, a Singha beer garden, and more (for more information, click here).

We invite you to join our team of volunteers who will be out talking to festival participants about equality for the LGBT community! Come talk to community members, meet fellow activists, and have an amazing time - AND receive a FREE API EQUALITY-LA T-SHIRT as well!
