BREAKING NEWS: Anti-Transgender Youth Referendum FAILS TO QUALIFY for the Nov. 2014 Ballot

The California Secretary of State’s Office today announced that opponents of the School Success and Opportunity Act (Assembly Bill 1266) have failed to collect enough valid signatures to place a referendum on the November ballot to overturn the new law.  AB 1266 mandates that California public schools must permit transgender students to participate in school sports and utilize facilities that are consistent with their gender identity.
