Hertz Alegrio

Hertz Alegrio hails from Anaheim, CA and is an illustration student currently attending Santa Monica College.  His interest in social justice issues began in high school with his involvement in his school’s OC Human Relations BRIDGES chapter, and has since been involved with various social justice groups.  His activism has been centered mostly on the issue of undocumented youth, especially on the fight for the passage of both the California and federal Dream Acts.  He is interested in the intersection between the immigrant rights and LGBT movements, particularly from an API lens, and the stories of those who identify as API, undocumented, and LGBT. He is super duper excited to be working with API Equality-LA!
