  The wonderful participants of our Trans Allyship Teach-in this past month! #GiveOUTDay   Tuesday, August 2nd is Give OUT Day, a national 24-hour online fundraising event that unites LGBTQ organizations and donors. API Equality-LA’s work is fueled by our dedicated volunteers, interns, and staff — and your financial support allows us to keep that work going! We aim to raise $7,500 to help fund our internship programs for the upcoming year. Dear Members, We are deeply saddened and angered by the violence that unfolded in the early hours of Sunday morning at Pulse, a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida. This attack on queer and trans Latinx and Black people is part of a long legacy in the United States of homophobia and transphobia, racist violence by police and vigilante groups, and fear and hatred of those who are different.
