Join API Equality-LA at LA Pride & Rest March!

More important than ever, we need to build the POWER and VISIBILITY of Asian Pacific Islander (API) LGBTQ people. Our communities are being assailed by homophobic, transphobic, Islamophobic, sexist, and racist rhetoric, policies, and laws from the current administration, its appointees, and its supporters.

As a community, we must UNITE, RESIST, AND PREVAIL. To do this, API Equality-LA needs YOUR support:

We need to make sure ALL API LGBTQ people are fighting for justice and equity for all of our communities. To do this, we need your help with talking to LA Pride attendees about API LGBTQ issues and recruiting them to be leaders for our community! All volunteers will receive an in-depth training, free T-shirt, and (if relevant) free admission into the LA Pride Festival.

Public Transportation:
Hollywood Blvd is closed between LaBrea and Highland. We highly encourage to use public transportation since there will be very limited street parking and expensive private parking rates.
METRO RED LINE – Exit Hollywood & Highland station. In case of overcrowding, consider exiting at Hollywood & Vine and walking west a few blocks.
LOCAL BUS – Local MTA buses will be operating right up until the start of the march. For West Hollywood residents we recommend taking the 2 or 302 anywhere along Sunset Blvd to Sunset / Highland. It is a 20 minute journey plus 5 minutes of walking.

We ask that you wear API Equality-LA shirts for the entire duration of the parade for a uniform look and presentation of our unit. If you do not already have one, you may get one for a suggested donation of $6 at the meeting location. You are welcome to bring your own sign(s). There will be a limited amount of posters distributed at the meeting location.

The LA PRIDE Resist March route is around 3 miles in total and the parade will take a total of four hours. We do not have cars or floats, but we welcome users of wheelchairs, scooters, and strollers to join us. Water stations will be available throughout the parade, volunteers are encouraged to bring their own water.
